Topics covered in the morning classroom sessions will include properties of gaseous products, plume characteristics under a variety of weather conditions and initial response actions. There will be some emphasis placed upon the ERCB's 'ignition decision tree'. A case study is also included. In the afternoon, students get to practice their ignition response skills by igniting a variety of propane plumes at Enform's Genesee Ignition Training Facility A certificate is issued upon successful completion of a written examination. |
