This popular 2-day course is designed to familiarize non-technical personnel in the petroleum and related government, financial, legal, and service industries with the basics of the upstream (exploration and production) petroleum industry via slides, video, and computer illustrations. The course will provide an overview of most aspects of the petroleum industry, including exploration, drilling, reserves, production, economics, and OPEC.
1.6 CEU (Continuing Education Units) or 16 PDH (Professional Development Hours)

 | | Easton Wren, Ph. D. | | Dr. Easton Wren is an internationally recognized geophysicist and presenter, and has lectured in his areas of expertise as a visiting professor for a number of universities, technical societies, and petroleum producing companies worldwide. He received a Ph.D. in Geophysics at the University of Glasgow in 1968, and is currently a consultant and a lecturer. Dr. Wren has published a number of papers on seismic processing and interpretation, and has been a Distinguished Lecturer for A.A.P.G. He is an active member of several technical societies. |
