For the past few years, political correctness has had an influence on the way we communicate by setting limits to language, acceptable public debate, and conduct. In attempting to create guidelines to avoid "offending others", it has also created fear and resentment. What is the root of all this, what do we need to avoid, where do we need to speak out, and what do we need to do to ensure we are not trapped by this recent phenomenon?
