The instructor is very experienced & knowledgeable in all areas of refineries. I would suggest only those with strong technical backgrounds in engineering or chemistry take this course as it is very technically detailed

My job often requires or is greatly enhanced by having a non-expert-level understanding of petroleum refining processes, but I didn't receive that as part of my formal education (Mechanical Engineering), which is why I took this course. I highly recommend this course to anyone in a similar situation. The instructor (Marv) was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer any question we could come up with. As a result of this course, I feel much more confident in my ability to discuss and apply this knowledge to my job as a reliability engineer.

This course provided a valuable overview of the crude refining process, and then a detailed look at each step. Bitumen upgrading was less of a focus, and the information on this topic was not as in-depth as I was expecting. The instructor was very knowledgeable about crude refining, and his commentary was interesting.

A great overview of all of the various process used in refinery operations and upgrading. Presented in an accomodating way for those of us who are not Chemical Engineers.

This couse provided practical overeview knowledge of refinery and uprading process. The use of real examples from the refinery and upgrading industries were useful in providing a greater understanding of why and what process units exsist in both the upgrading and refiniery plants.
