This course is a very good overview of petroleum engineering, the drilling and completion processes and the work cycle from project inception to producing oil or gas. It is ideal for those without a technical background and limited knowledge of geology, land, and engineering. Those with a technical background and experience with geology and engineering will not see much value from this course.
March 10, 2017, Senior Vice President, Calgary
Very good course. Its not easy cramming a 4-year university degree into a meaningful 4 day program, but Saad did a excellent job of providing a solid foundation of what the petroleum industry is all about.
March 14, 2017, Senior Corporate Planning Analyst, Calgary
Very useful course for a non-technical professional to gain some technical knowledge and be able to converse with the engineers in the company
November 17, 2016, Lime Rock Partners, Houston
The course included a comprehensive overview of petroleum engineering that provides a useful baseline of knowledge for someone new to the industry.
November 22, 2016, Performance Management Analyst, Houston
I thought the course was a perfect guide for those who do not deal with the operational aspects of Oil and Gas production on a day to day basis. The level of information and the way it's laid out gives a solid knowledge base even for someone with a few years in the industry.
March 29, 2016, Manger, Geology, Calgary
This was a great course and very helpful for people who work in the industry in non-technical roles. I would bill it more as Petroleum Engineering for the Non-Technical Workforce. Great course for a high level introduction. It was tied between all the elements nicely.
December 14, 2015, Geological Technologist, Calgary
Petroleum Engineering for Non-Engineers is a good foundation for those not exposed to the delineation, development, and production of hydrocarbon prospects on a day to day basis. It lays the groundwork for future courses and contains vital knowledge for both the new grad and seasoned vet.
December 18, 2015, Geologist in Training, Calgary
Cover a large number of topics, but nothing in any detail. You get a broad idea of many topics. So it's just ok
December 10, 2015, 1601 Bryan St., Houston
As someone with several years of experience in credit analysis in the energy industry, this class provided a very in-depth understanding of petroleum engineering and how other key disciplines are involved in exploration, development, and production of oil and gas. Prior to this course, I understood the processes at a high level, but I now feel comfortable performing even more granular analysis.
December 10, 2015, Associate, Strategic Energy Solutions Group, Houston
Excellent course full of insightful information taught by an industry professional with extensive years of on-hand experience.

The course was excellent. Extremely information and covered all essentials about Upstream energy business. Course contents were well done and there were lots of real life examples to make the contents more meaningful.

While I have been in the oil and gas business for over 30 years in various non-technical and non-upstream support roles, this class was very informative and helped me connect the dots in a lot of areas. The experiences the instructor shared throughout were very helpful.
May 29, 2015, Admin Asst 2, Houston
This was a excellent class for people that are getting into oil and gas and also people that have some knowledge and understanding of it. Great class for non-engineers.
May 18, 2015, Associate, London
Very helpful introductory course for a non-technical background attendee. The course covers the full scope of the O&G production process. The instructor has a significant experience in the sector which contributes to providing anecdotal examples to the notions being taught.
February 27, 2015, Engineering Technician, Denver
An informative look at the life of an oil and gas prospect from the beginning to the uneconomical end.
