Course Information:
Overview
This two-day course will provide participants with a review of the Canadian Standards Association CSA Z662 Code, with an emphasis on practical application of the standard to pipeline design, construction and operation in onshore areas. The course is designed for pipeline engineers, technologists, inspectors or other professionals who require a working knowledge of Z662. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the code(not included in course fees) to the session.

Joe Paviglianiti
Joe Paviglianiti earned a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Calgary. He is currently a pipeline integrity specialist, with broad and extensive pipeline experience conducting pipeline and facility design reviews, incident investigations, engineering assessment reviews, joining and NDE procedure assessments, and integrity management system audits as well as field construction inspections. In 2000, he became a member of the CSA Z662 Construction Technical Subcommittee (TSC), and in 2001 he became Chairman of the TSC. He continues to Chair the Construction TSC, and is a member of the CSA Z662 Executive Committee, and a member of the Technical Committee. In addition to his CSA involvement, he is a member of the Materials Technology Laboratory Advisory Committee on Non Destructive Testing Personnel Certification, and a member of the CGSB Committee on Certification of Non-destructive Testing Personnel (48/2) which is responsible for the CAN/CGSB 48.9712-2006 standard.
